WAY OVERDUE!

Three months

Two months

Two weeks

So I've been such a slacker in my blogging, I know, I know. Here are some pics of our cute little baby Tatum Meadow, who I might say is the pride and joy of our little family. We love her so much and the kids constantly fight over who is going to take care of her next. It's like that shiny new toy that you get. She is the "twinkle" in their little eyes from the time they wake up until the time they go to bed. (This is also true for Brent and myself, I might add.)

BIG NEWS!

Well...I'm sure a lot of you know this already, but for those of you who don't....WE'RE HAVING ANOTHER BABY!! YEP....I may be old, but still very fertile I guess, because this one was a suprise. I think Brent and I are still in shock, but we are getting excited now that we had our ultrasound last week and found out....IT'S A GIRL!!! I am about 19 weeks along now and due somewhere around Christmas. We had to have a more in-depth ultrasound because of my age to do some genetic screening, but so far they said everything looked good. They really scare you though about the risk for down syndrome when you are 35 or over. It really has us freaked out. We are praying for a healthy, beautiful baby. She has been kicking up a storm lately and she is usually the most active around noon and midnight. We are still "deliberating" for lack of a better term on a name for her. Brent and I never seem to be able to agree on names for our kids. I will keep you all updated!

Our 4th of July cake!

The Young Women came over for our Tuesday night activity last week and this is what we made...not bad I'd say! I think they had more fun trying to spray each other with the whipping cream than they actually did decorating the cake. As far as our family 4th of July, we went over to Uncle Shaun's and Aunt Lauren's house for a swimming party and had a good time. Lauren is such a good party planner! Thanks you guys! Hope everyone had a good holiday.

Tanner's first Temple Trip

Last Friday we had a really neat experience. Tanner was able to go to the temple with us for the first time and do some baptisms for family members. Let me back up a little bit here...since Brent's family is the first to be members of the church, there is a lot of family history work to do. He has been really feeling strongly that he needed to start working on his geneology. He was so excited to be able to take his two grandmas and one grandpa's name to the temple. It was especially neat because Tanner got to go. We were able to go with my mom and dad as well and help them do some of their family names.

Disneyland!!

So Brent had Friday off and had rented a car because he was planning on going on the fathers and sons outing a few weeks back. We decided to go out to breakfast that morning and as we were sitting there eating, somehow came up with this marvelous plan to go to Disneyland for the weekend instead (ya know, since we had already rented a car and all). I literally had 30 minutes to go home and pack and we suprised the kids and took them out of school early. Sometimes these kinds of trips are the most exciting!!! They love it when we do this. Here's a few pics from our trip.

LARYNGITIS

So anyone who has talked to me lately knows I have an absolutely "awful-sounding" voice. It started out with a bad head cold about five weeks ago and ever since then, I have had laryngitis. I sound awful. People keep asking me if I'm ever going to get better. I keep wondering the same thing! I have even been through a full course of antibiotics, which was for the sinus infection that came after the head cold, but with no relief. I've done some research and it's recommended you not talk and get a lot of rest when you have this....ha, ha, funny!! My point in all this is I was sitting at church on Sunday and wanting to sing the hymns so badly. I started to cry because I realized how grateful I am for my voice (when I do have it) and how often I have taken it for granted. I enjoy singing so much and it made me so sad that I couldn't even sing the hymns. So, please pray for me that I will get my normal voice back soon and don't ever take your voice for granted!
